The Community Cinema was started in February 2015 from an idea by Colin Burley. It is run by a small committee of volunteers and some keen helpers. The project is indebted to the former Eccleshall Players who have donated their remaining funds to the Community Cinema.

The Eccleshall Community Cinema aims to bring a monthly film showing to the local community, particularly those who can’t access a cinema. Our initial showings have proved very popular and have demonstrated a clear enthusiasm for a community cinema and also that such a project is financially viable. The project has focused, to date, on showing films made by the British film industry and there is a consensus in the committee that this is our way forward.

All Films are dependent on our being able to obtain a license to show them.
